Product description: the Apex Surf Boardshorts from Outerknown were developed and tested by 11-time surf world champion Kelly Slater. Outerknown has selected a super elastic (4 ways stretch) and sustainable fabric for the production of these surf shorts. The surfer shorts have a zippered pocket on the back right side where you can attach your car keys to a cord. By placing the pocket at the back, the car key does not get in the way while paddling. The drawstring in the waist area is equipped with flat sewn/welded eyelets and reinforced with a Velcro fastener. The closure therefore remains unnoticed while paddling. The attention to detail (see under features) makes these boardshorts for surfers the best performing surf shorts currently available on the market. The boardshorts for men are made from 95% recycled material (plastic water bottles).
Characteristics: Getestet und entwickelt vom 11-fachen Surf-Weltmeister Kelly Slater, entsanden die leistungsstärksten Boardshorts für Surfer der Welt. Dank des elastischen Stoffes (4 ways stretch) passen sie sich bei jeder Bewegung im Wasser optimal dem Körper an. Eine geschweisste (nahtlose) Verarbeitung der Boardshorts und die glatte Innenseite des Hosenschlitzes im Bauchbereich vermeidet Scheuerstellen beim Surfen. Die Rückennaht ist doppelt verschweisst und sorgt für zusätzliche Festigkeit auch in schwierigen Konditionen. Lasergeschnittene Öffnungen an der Seitennaht sowie der Gesässtasche sorgen für eine Entwässerung und Belüftung. Die „Quick Dry“ Gewebeart lässt die Shorts schneller trocknen an der Luft. Die Tasche auf der Rückseite ist mit einem hochwertigen Aquaguard™-Reissverschluss und einer internen Bungee-Schlüsselschlaufe versehen. The board shorts can also be used as swim shorts.

Material & Sustainability: the boardshorts are made from 89% recycled polyester, 6% recycled elastane and 5% elastane. The recycled polyester is made from 100% post-consumer waste such as plastic water bottles, which reduces CO2 emissions and keeps a valuable material in circulation.
Production & Sustainable Impact: the Apex Trunks by Kelly Slater are tailored by VT Garment Co, a Fair Trade Certified™ factory. Employees receive a premium for their work and decide together how to use these extra funds to improve their lives.
Product maintenance: wash the surfer shorts by hand or on a gentle cycle at max. 30 °C. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry or iron.
